Cruze all dressed up
Posted by Car Magazine MotorPlay under Chevrolet, Motorsport
This is the car Chevrolet will be outing starting the next WTCC season. It’s based on the recently launched Chevrolet Cruze and it looks as though it’s gone through the hands of some tunner with fine tastes, and that’s something pretty hard to come by. The car is currently undergoing pre-season tests and all kinds of other tests so it will be ready for the first race of the 2009 season which will take place in Brazil. For now, perfromance-wise, they plan not to go below the current Chevrolet WTCC car, the Lacetti, which has won 12 races so far.

Why Orlando Bloom should be afraid:
Posted by Car Magazine MotorPlay under Chevrolet
This is a new - well, actually the first - Chevrolet MPV seven seater that will be unveiled (where else?) at the Paris Motor Show. It’s called Bloom. Sorry, Orlando. It looks as if you need to sedate your family before you can convince themto get in and that’s about it. Other than it’s SUV-like looks, it’s just your ordinary MPV, with seven seats and lots of space, both for passengers and cargo. Oh, and the steering wheel is eeringly familiar. Maybe because we’ve seen something like it before on the Honda Civic.

Cruze cruising towards Paris
Posted by Car Magazine MotorPlay under Chevrolet
I’m not really a sucker for Chevrolets, to say the least, but I really like the new Cruze. Good color choice for the photo shoot, too, it sits really well with the Motor Play color scheme. It looks good and I would only have one thing to comment about it: the rear lights look too much like the ones on the Honda Civic Sedan, which is not a bad thing, but it just makes me raise an eyebrow and keep it there for a few long seconds. Other than that, everything sounds good and it might sound even better when they’ll announce the prices. Engines-wise, there will be three on offer for now, two petrols and one diesel: 1,6 111bhp, 1,8 139bhp running on gasoline and a 2,0 litre turbodiesel developing 148bhp. Sounds good enough.

Chevrolet punches Judy. Or something…
Posted by Car Magazine MotorPlay under Chevrolet
So you’re on the beach, doing nothing, lying face up and roasting at the sun. Well, not really roasting, but that’s what you like to think. You lift your head to see what’s going on around you, only to see a Chevrolet Captiva slowly passing you by, as if there was nothing more natural in the world. You get up thinking there’s a moron who needs to be told exactly what he is, and you’re the man to do it.
Well, it turns up you were looking at the wrong side of the car. Sticking from the left rear door is a red and white striped booth, which looks just like a Punch & Judy mini theatre. Well, maybe because that’s just what it is. It seems British parents pay more and more in order to keep their families entertained while at the seaside, so somebody at Chevrolet came up with the idea of a free moving Punch & Judy show to help bring back memories for the parents and plant new ones into the minds of the kids. And if one or two of the parents will want to buy a Chevrolet Captiva afterwards, all the better.
